Svyatoslav Richter's recitals form one of the highlights of the current music season Richter is fast gaining the reputation of one of the greatest pianists of the country. Last season he showed himself to be an impeccable interpreter of the classics (48 preludes and fugues by Bach, pieces by Haydn and Mozart) and early romantics (Schubert). This year his repertoire consists mainly of the works of Russian composers (particularly outstanding was his rendition of Chaikovsky's Grand Sonata and Scriabin's Fifth Sonata), Beethoven and the French impressionists. Phenomenal virtuosity, a dazzling colour pallette and ability to interpret any style are Richter's strong points.

Nota: nel 1947, Richter eseguì per la prima volta: la Sonata op. 53 di Skrjabin, 7 Préludes di Debussy oltre a Mouvement (finale delle Images I). Di Haydn già nel '45-'46 eseguì alcune Sonate. Mentre la Grande Sonata di Čaikovskij ancora nel 1942. Per curiosità, pubblicai anni fa dei "ritagli" di locandine relative alla stagione precedente ('45-'46), sempre alla Filarmonica: LINK.
